In addition to the Academy-led 3 Horizons process, another milestone in 2025 was the launch of Global Evaluation Agenda 2.0, a visionary and comprehensive framework designed to elevate the field of evaluation into a powerful catalyst for sustainable development, social betterment, equity, environmental sustainability, and peace. This work was led by EvalPartners, and the Academy made a significant contribution to the text, using the 3HEi work to inform this.
A global coalition has been established to take this transformational work forward – including those involved in the 3HEi work notably the Academy, EvalPartners/IOCE, IDEAS, EvalYouth, EvalIndigenous, the regional evaluation associations (AfREA, EES, ReLAC, APEA) and the EvalforEarth community of practice. A core group meets monthly and is leading on taking the work forward, now as a transformation initiative, with co-stewards Ian Goldman from the Academy and Khalil Bitar from EvalPartners. Other organisations represented in the core group include EES, AfREA, UNFPA for Eval4Action, EvalIndigenous.
The partners are working to identify and advance transformational initiatives to implement the agenda, communicate the agenda, and build collaborations to advance the work.
